Biography

Mrs. Margaret Lou Youmans Mohon, age 69 of Aragon passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2010.

Mrs. Mohon was born on December 29, 1940 in Elmira, New York, daughter of the late Lawrence Youmans and the late Mona Townsend Youmans. She was a homemaker and a member of the Live Oak Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Carl Robert Mohon of Aragon to whom he was married on June 30, 1956; three daughters, Karen Andrews of Carnesville, Vickie Mohon of Dallas and Cheyenne Mohon of Aragon; three sons, Danny Mohon and wife Charlotte of Rockmart, Eddie Mohon and wife Vabree of Ellijay and Larry Mohon and wife Pam of Dallas; five sisters, Doris Welch of Aragon, Jeanne Murdock of Woodstock, Janie Woolard of Canton, Nancy Price of Acworth and Shirley Taylor of Lockport NY; and five brothers, Terry Youmans of Florida, Mark Youmans of Mississippi, Tommy Youmans of Elberton, Howard Youmans of Cartersville and Richard Youmans of Acworth. Twelve grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mohon will be held on Friday, March 12th at 2:00 p.m. in the Live Oak Baptist Church with the Rev. Anthony Osborn and the Rev. Mike Loner officiating. Interment services will follow in the family lot of the church cemetery.

Mrs. Mohon will be taken to the church to lie in state from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, March 11th between the hours of 6 and 9 p.m.
