Biography

Mrs. Helen Lee Castle Gribble, age 85 of Rockmart passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2010.

Mrs. Gribble was born on October 3, 1924 in Acworth, daughter of the late Riley Castle and the late Alice Shelton Castle. She retired from the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in 1981 with over 15 years of service and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Gribble was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Jesse Lee "Yank" Gribble on December 14, 1989; a son, Mr. Dewey Wayne Gribble in 1973; and two brothers, Mr. Floyd Castle and Mr. Tom Castle.

Survivors include a son, Dennis Gribble of Rockmart; and a sister-in-law, Betty Baines of Aragon.

Funeral graveside and interment services for Mrs. Gribble will be held on Tuesday, July 13th at 2:00 p.m. in the family lot of Rose Hill Cemetery with Brother Melton Moss officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday afternoon from 12:45 p.m. until the graveside hour.

Freeman Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral graveside service for Mrs. Helen Lee Castle Gribble.
