Biography

Mrs. Vickie Kay Hulsey Yates, age 54 of Rockmart passed away on Monday, July 19, 2010.

Mrs. Yates was born on February 8, 1956 in Atlanta, daughter of Paul Hulsey and the late Willie Ruth Bright Hulsey. She was a 1974 graduate of Rockmart High School. Mrs. Yates was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Rockmart.

Survivors include her husband, Dwain Yates of Rockmart; three sons, Kenny Lee Clemons, Joseph Wade Clemons and David Heath Yates all of Rockmart; father and step-mother, Paul & Neva Hulsey of Rockmart; and five sisters, Teresa Atkins, Lisa Hulsey, Christy Leatherwood, Tina Hulsey and Toni Arp all of Rockmart.
Five grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Yates will be held on Wednesday, July 21st at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Rockmart with the Rev. Greg Thompson officiating. Interment services will follow in the family lot of Rose Hill Cemetery.

The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers: Carey Robinson, Clint Leatherwood, Robert Yates, Tom Yates, Sam Yates and Collin Yates.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, July 20th between the hours of 6 and 9 p.m.
