Mrs. Angela Powell Evans

Mrs. Angela Jean Powell Evans, age 56 of Weaver, AL formerly of Aragon, GA passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017. Mrs. Evans was born November 14, 1961 in Floyd County, daughter of the late Billy Joe Powell and the late Elizabeth Christine Summerville Powell. She was of the Baptist Faith and as a youth attended Seney Baptist Church. Angela retired from the Eby-Brown Company, loved to travel and had an avid love for her family. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica Christine Evans. Survivors include a son, Jonathan Evans of Weaver, AL; daughter, Elizabeth (Stacy) Burt of Weaver, AL; brother, Jeffery Powell of Rome, GA; sister, Aletha Womack of Aragon, GA; five grandchildren and a special cousin, Jerred Boatner. Funeral services for Mrs. Evans will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Chisolm and Brother Melton Moss officiating. Interment services will follow in the family lot of the Aragon Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Jacob Earwood, Ronny Summerville, Lee Lowery, William Dunn, Gene Dunn and Eric Summerville. Honorary pallbearers will be: Jerred Boatner and Isaiah Formby. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Freeman Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral services for Mrs. Angela Jean Powell Evans.
