Mr. Frederick (Fred) Bruce Hughes, Jr. age 72 of Silver Creek, Georgia passed away Sunday morning, November 15, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Hughes was born December 18, 1942 in East Chicago, Indiana, son of the late Frederick Bruce Hughes, Sr. and the late Juanita Dotson Hughes. He served in the United States Navy Reserves and from the Amoco Oil Refinery as a maintenance machinist. Mr. Hughes is survived by his wife, Regina Griffin Hughes of Silver Creek to whom he married August 6, 2001; three sons, Bruce Robert Hughes of Mt. Jackson, Virginia, Frederick Jamal Hughes and Christopher Alfonso Hughes both of Silver Creek; three sisters, Loretta Kleane of Cincinnati, Ohio, Susan Allen and Patty Danner both of Wooster, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Ashley Westerman, Amber Sona and Chloe O’Laughlin also survive. A private gathering of family was held on Thursday, November 19th at the funeral home. Freeman Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the memorial arrangements for Mr. Frederick Bruce Hughes, Jr.
